May through August: Additional Sunday Mass at 5:00 p.m.
During summer months of May, June, July and August we will introduce an extra Sunday Mass in English at 5:00 p.m. Those who like to sleep late on Sunday morning will now have a chance to fulfill their Sunday obligation as well. If this Mass turns out to be well attended it will become a permanent part of our Sunday Mass Schedule.

June 2-14: Photography Appointments
Most of our Parishioners have already scheduled an appointment to have their picture taken by a photographer from the Olan Mills Company, who is preparing our New Parish Directory. Please do not forget your date and if you do not have an appointment yet contact Theda Brabec at 314.603.2488 ASAP.

June 15: Give Hope, Make a Sandwich
Social Justice Committee invites everyone, especially our younger Parishioners participating in the Parish School of Religion Program, to join us on Sunday, June 15th at 10:15 a.m. in the small room of the Polish Heritage Center in order to make sandwiches that will be served to our friends at Karen House. Food and supplies will be provided by the Social Justice Committee. Please bring your hands and good spirit.

June 16-20: Vacation Bible School
St. Stanislaus Parish is organizing, this year, our own Vacation Bible School! The title of the program is, “God’s Big Backyard.” There will be many activities planned such as Bible stories, crafts, skits, games and projects to incorporate the theme of, “Kids having a blast serving Jesus.” Snacks will be provided. We encourage our teenage parishioners to help with the various activities with the younger children. Vacation Bible School will meet Monday through Friday, June 16-20 from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. Parents of children age 3-12 should contact Janice Merzweiler at 314-550-5849 or Donna Nachefski at 314.323.6415 to register.

June 28: Women-Led Prayer
St. Louis based Catholic Action Network invites everyone for a monthly Prayer Service to Nourish the Soul on the fourth Saturday of each month. This month the Women-Led Prayer will take place on Sunday, June 28 at 10:00 am at The Center for Theology and Social Analysis (1077 S. Newstead). Services include readings, music, rituals, shared prayer and reflections. All women and men are invited!

July 4: Independence Day Mass
On Independence Day, July 4th, a special Mass for God’s blessing upon America will be offered in our church at 10:00 a.m. We invite you with friends and families to celebrate our National Holiday not only in the parks with fireworks but also with prayers of gratitude for this country and its people.

July 20: Polka Mass and Summer Picnic
St. Stanislaus famous Polka Mass and Summer Picnic will be held on July 20, 2008. The only Mass that Sunday morning will be offered at 11:00 a.m with the Picnic following. Dinners of Polish sausage or fried chicken will be served for $8.00. The Herb Eberly Band will play from 12 noon til 3:30 pm. TheAlley Kats Band will play from 3:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. Many attractions for people of all ages are waiting for the adventurous. Many volunteers are needed. Please call Richard Lapinski, the Picnic chairperson, at 636-978-4060 to volunteer.

July 27: Blessing of the Vehicles
Traditional feast day of Saint Christopher, the patron Saint of travelers is celebrated usually on July 25. In our Parish, on the following Sunday of July 27 at 10:15 a.m. on the parking lot directly behind the church we will celebrate the rite of Blessing of the Vehicles. We encourage all Parishioners, but especially those whose new car has not been blessed yet to attend this devotion. Washing the car a day earlier is advisable but not required.

September 13: 8th Annual Polish Heritage Open Golf Tournament
The Polish Heritage Open Golf Tournament and Auction will be held on Saturday, September 13th at the Falls Golf Club. For golfers who have played in previous years, additional information will be sent in May. An open registration for new players begins on July 2nd. The Golf Tournament is in need of large valued items for the auction, corporate sponsors, and hole sponsors. Please contact Greg Poniewaz at 314-984-8828.
